Pros
Easy job, routine, perfect for a detailed oriented person that doesn't like much change, works with school schedule, Healthcare free to employees and their dependents, Attempts to raise employee morale with events occasionally
Cons
Micromanaged by regional directors who have never worked in an ER a day in their lives, low pay with minimal chance of raises despite annual raise promise in handbook, cares more about marketing than actual patient care. They monitor surveys and require all patients to take one and if they decline the decline affects the score of the facility. Little to no OT approvals because they hate paying OT but will leave shifts empty till day off then suddenly OT is fine. no 401k options, insurance is UMR and is not good, monthly inventory requirements for budgeting because they don't want to pay someone else to do it, asks clerks to do "coding" in the sense that we have to identify federal vs state insurance plans, Requires clerks to manage angry calls about bills because the billing voicemail box is always full/never answers, Regional director unapproachable , Points system makes little to no sense, example clock in at 6.51 youre late for your 7.00 shift so now you get points, allows no call no shows in points system but will fire you over frequent clocks in at 6.51 for a 7.00 shift.
