All my years doing sales with SRI Surgical to hospitals were truly enjoyable. We had the best of the best, in terms of custom surgical packs, standard packs, gowns, drapes, basin sets and OR towels. SRI also excelled with contract and OnDemand Sterilization Services to any hospital or surgery center who's SPD was shut down or downsized due to retrofits, emergencies, boiler, autoclave or washer replacements or break downs.

Only ones I could think of was our products were priced higher vs the like item disposable competitors' i.e Medline, Cardinal, Halyard, etc. Ours were inspected, processed, and made by humans, in 10 plants throughout the US versus the disposable ones made in bulk over seas.

The company was able to ride out the recession with minimal layoffs or restructuring. The company was acquired by Synergy Health in 7/12. The work environment is challenging if you like change.

The company was unprofitable for years and the headquarters and facilities look like it. The primary product line, reusable surgical linens, is in a very competitive space and margins are thin. Synergy has a different operating philosophy. No matter how hard you work, it's never good enough. Cost cutting is the order of the day.
