Pros

For people who love robots, there is no other place like Symbotic. The challenges we are working on are mind-boggling and challenging but fun. As an engineer, I love how the path from idea to deployment is fast and short. I also love the scale of our systems - we move millions of cases in warehouses every day, so the improvements we make to our systems have a huge impact. There are only a couple of other companies that have multi-robot systems with hundreds/thousands of robots working in close collaboration, and there are no other companies where engineers can go from idea to deployment on such a massive system so rapidly. Pros: - Unique challenges and opportunities in deploying massive multi-robot systems - Compensation that is competitive with / outcompetes big tech - Abundant engineering talent

Cons

The work culture is fairly intense. We have unlimited vacation, which is great, and people feel comfortable taking a healthy amount of vacation. However, we have a lot of deadlines and making those deadlines often requires working long hours.
