Turning into an offshore call center isn't going to solve not having a Standard Operating Procedure. - Customer Experience Specialist Synapse Health Employee Review

Pros

None, it gets worse all of the time.

Cons

Not given a voice in the procedures taking place. Its been painful to watch all of the wrong turns and untimely experimentation when the experience and help were right there the whole time, had they been put to use. Instead of streamlining the procedure to create an order, and going for lean processes, the company has turned to imposing strict metrics on out of control, hard to explain processes used to complete the simplest of tasks.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Feedback like yours is important—it helps us reflect on how we’re growing and how we can better support the people who power our mission. Over the past month, we are putting several resources and places that we go to do our jobs in one place and make ops training a bit more standard. We recognize that building something innovative in a complex space like healthcare can come with growing pains and we’re committed to listening, evolving and striving for better alignment between processes, people and purpose. We appreciate your feedback and the work you’ve done as part of the Synapse team.

Pros

*What stands out most is the sense of purpose behind the work. It's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture in a lot of jobs, but here you can clearly connect what you're doing day-to-day to the impact it has on patients. *There's also real room to make a difference through continuous process improvement; if you see something that could work better, you're given the space to actually fix it rather than just flag it. *Many roles are remote too, so there's a good amount of flexibility in how and where you work.

Cons

The pace moves fast, and because the Synapse is growing, processes are often being built, and then rebuilt, as things evolve. It's not a bad thing, but if you don't handle change well or prefer a lot of established structure, this could be frustrating.
