Pros
Good pay and a good team of people
Cons
Despite being advised not to accept the position, by someone very familiar with Syndica, I decided to accept their offer of employment. I was hired to complete a specific project. Upon hire I asked for a budget to complete the project. They wouldn't provide one. All they told me was they wanted the absolute best of everything Before I knew it I was being tasked to perform work that was outside the scope of my role. Since I was new at the company, and wanted to make a good impression, I did what was asked. However, once ownership realized how much the project would cost they realized they couldn't afford it. Ownership talked big but in reality they vastly underestimated what it would cost. Since they couldn't afford to proceed with the project they pulled the plug. As a result of this they ended my employment. Not wanting to admit their failure they made up a false reason for my departure. They also refused to pay out monies owed to me upon departure I can accept that my position was no longer needed now that the project was canceled. What I can't accept is a company hiring someone without knowing if they can afford to complete the work that would justify the position. This shows a lack of integrity and suggests to me the company thinks of employees as easily disposable.
