Pros

It's a paycheck, though lower than what I'm used to.

Cons

Absolutely no communication for weeks during a significant contract transition, which caused complete and total chaos/panic. Almost seems like that was the intent. I've never seen a contract transition like this, and I never hope to again. The management is blissfully unaware of how much of anything works, and doesn't seem to care either. "Interview" process was insulting, and interviewers were rude. People actually cried leaving the "interview" (which was only 5 minutes long). They handled a major contract transition so poorly, that people who were laid off will never come back, even if offered more money. People who weren't laid off are actively looking for another job. Allowing people with years of experience, education, and demonstrated histories of promotions/accolades to walk out the door is 100% mismanagement or 100% ignorance.

We apologize that you had an unpleasant experience, and we recognize that the transition from the incumbent company to our company as the prime contractor was stressful for all parties involved. Due to the nature and timing of contract award, we had a very short time to prepare. Though we tried our best to provide the deserved attention to every candidate, sometimes we were pressed for time, which might have made us appear impolite, and this was never our intention. As you are a current employee, you must have met the persons who conducted the interviews while working with Synergy. If you still think they have been impolite or disrespectful, we strongly suggest that you use the anonymous suggestion box in your work location to express your concern. Employee satisfaction is one of the most important principles of our company, as we believe that only happy employees can make our customers happy. We take employee satisfaction very seriously and realize that taking a pay cut is extremely difficult for anyone. During the transition, most of our employees got their current salary or a higher pay. We have looked at the salaries again last quarter and made some adjustments. As a general practice, we look at everyone’s compensation every quarter and adjust whenever we can. If you still have a lower than before compensation, please approach your manager if you have concerns and we guarantee to take that into serious consideration.
