You get to learn a lot about a variety of different fields and disciplines, such as analog/digital circuitry, embedded design/programming, FPGA, electronic testing equipment, etc.
Cons
Lots of turnover potentially, the majority of the people in my team left within a year and a half once I started. The responsibilities will quickly be piled onto you, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you view it.
