Pros
Reasonable base salary if pursued aggressively Very flexible in regards to working remotely
Cons
Engineering upper management are very out of touch with the "situation on the ground". No performance incentives of any kind for "normal" employees. Only management are eligible for any type of incentive based compensation. Support has basically been shifted entirely to engineering. Engineering was split into two divisions to make this the official "new normal". Commitment to long term development goals are basically non-existent. The real goals are often dictated by what the current crisis is. Team members have been shuffled between teams far too much. It is hard to get any rhythm within a team when the players are changing every month. No significant releases of any product in well over a year. It is impossible to fix the foundation of the software systems in play with maintenance/patch releases. Company needs to grow up. The party culture doesn't serve the company well anymore, and hasn't for quite some time.
