Pros

Completely commission based, which is great for busy stores. The harder you work, the more you can make. Also, Verizon has the sales maker program that can help cut your bill way down each month after working for them for awhile.

Cons

Company does not focus enough on building customer relationships and I've come to realize most Verizon stores focus highly on upselling bundles and package deals. Yes, it's a commission based sales position, but many reps are dealing in the gray area of ethics and I don't see much effort in stopping this. Many times promotions and deals are so detailed I even had a hard time keeping them straight. Also, I don't see any value or programs to cut down on employee turnover. Yes, sales jobs usually yield high turnover rates. The would claim raises back when they had an hourly rate plus commission was based on merit and not time working for the company, but no matter how hard you worked for them, raises were never an option. They told me my commission was my raise. I earned that commission, but the company still showed no value towards keeping me.

Pros

Super excited to start with Team wireless. Was just laid off with Verizon sadly. But I am here to see how Team wireless is . Coming in with a positive mind.

Cons

Nothing to commit yet as I haven’t started working for the company until December 11th.

Pros

The pay USED to be great. Goals were obtainable if you were a good salesperson. Management stayed off your back if the numbers looked good.

Cons

There is now a "kicker" requirement for every sales KPI. Basically, its just impossible to hit your sales goals because of unrealistic expectations. The new COO that came from TCC is responsible. TCC is a much bigger retailer than Team Wireless, and he was brought here to help with expansion. That's been the only focus, the existing employees were thrown to the dirt. I have been in sales for about 6 years, and when you stop paying your over-achieving staff members a fair wage, they will leave. I have seen my districts staff dwindle in the past few months. The salespeople that were some of the best in the company have left because of the changes in compensation.
