Pros
Really nice people work on sales floor Close to home
Cons
I should start with I am one of the "new breed" of Tessco employees, not the "old guard". This place is as bad as it gets. The micromanagement , KPI's and lack of ability to do your job is stifling. I want to know who is making money at Tessco , certainly not anyone in my group. I know several sellers who were given 70 percent goal increases after they hit their number the previous quarter assuring them they will never see another commission check. Management cannot make up their mind and change direction almost monthly, it's as though they lost and trying anything and everything to turn the ship around. I over hear product managers talking about the vendors and how they despise Tessco and the leadership team. Its a toxic environment and people are walking out the door almost weekly. People once made a career out of Tessco now they usually last a year and leave, it's that bad. Top sales people are fleeing Tessco en mass. It’s very telling when all the top people leave the company. If you like to be treated like a child, not get paid any commission , spend all day staring at a Salesforce screen and then be drilled as too why you didn't hit your phone call metric then Tessco is for you. I cannot wait to leave in September. I dread coming here everyday.
