Pros

I have worked at a few PR agencies in New York, and TCPR is by far the best experience I've had. We have a great roster of clients, that give our team the opportunity to work on exciting projects and push the envelope of traditional PR with new concepts and ideas. TCPR has many opportunities to take on new tasks to grow within your role. I've been promoted since joining TCPR, and the mentorship of the leadership team fosters continued growth. There are many team members who have been with the company for 3+ years which is rare at other agencies. TCPR values personal connections between its staff. We have daily chats about the latest tv shows or pop culture news. In my prior experiences, employees were reprimanded for having non-work related conversations, which created a hostile environment. The agency offers great benefits including quarterly mental health days and unlimited PTO, and is flexible for appointments during the day. By nature PR sometimes requires long hours, and the team is always appreciative of those who stay late for events or projects.

Cons

TCPR is fully remote, and while the agency offers unlimited access to WeWorks across the city, I would prefer to work out of a permanent office. That said, we do have monthly WeWork days when the whole NY team works together, and TCPR gets us lunch or we have a team happy hour.

Pros

The agency works with great clients in the home & design space and gives employees a lot of opportunity to grow and learn from the senior team. The company offers generous benefits and prioritizes work/life balance consistently. Leadership is available and involved throughout the agency working closely with all team members. If the Founder can promote from within, that is always the first option. Growth of the team is the most important.

Cons

Like any agency, there is a pace to the work and times in the year when events and other client needs can be busier. Not necessarily a con, but something to know when going into any agency setting.

Pros

Everyone is nice and as far as agency life goes, this one is relatively chill

Cons

The company is very mismanaged. HIGH turnover rates- many are fired and many quit. The managers are more focused on their own work than on their direct reports, leaving new hires to fend for themselves. They also have a bad habit of micromanaging. Anything anyone does gets brought up the ladder- even emails. It really stifles growth and learning.
