Pros

Some people who work at TIDAL are genuinely cool, music-loving folks. Also get to meet and work with artists from all walks of life.

Cons

TIDAL is a fear and intimidation-based environment with corrupt senior management that does not respect its employees. And that's me being nice. The only people that enjoy working there are those who have not worked elsewhere and have nothing to compare it to, are manipulated by senior management (Desiree Perez), or are praying to get invited to the Roc Nation Brunch and grab a selfie with JAY and Bey. TIDAL is run like the Trump White House: one dictator-like leader, underlings that either bow down to her or are kicked out for not agreeing with her, a great deal of nepotism, lots of corruption with no accountability, and a healthy amount of delusion and denial. Working there was absolutely emotionally exhausting. We got our attendance taken twice a day, were asked to do things that we weren't sure were even legal, and watched misogynists get promoted and whistle blowers get booted. There's no rhyme or reason to a lot of what happens there, and everyone that works there knows that but are either totally brainwashed or too fearful to speak up about it. TIDAL and Roc are so involved in social justice issues, which of course is great because they have the power to make real impact - but the irony is, there's no care at all for the people on the inside. Many leave the company, others sue, some speak out about the injustices on social media, some are fired/leave and are finally able to get their dignity back, and some stick around biting their tongue. I, like a lot of people who have worked at TIDAL, have always admired JAY-Z and what his empire represents, but there is a serious lack of integrity within his companies. I can't even listen to a JAY-Z song without getting PTSD -- and this is coming from someone who hasn't worked there for over a year. I'm sick of seeing people hand their lives over to companies that disrespect them and even more sick of seeing people in positions of power completely abuse it. I hope more people tell the truth about this place. I wouldn't wish a work experience at TIDAL on my worst enemy!
