Flexible but Under-regulated - Direct Support Professional (DSP) TKJ Services Employee Review

-It's not as physically taxing as other hospice jobs. -You get to see the clients grow as people -Management cares a lot about its clients and employees

-The pay was alright, but not enough to live off of in SLC unless you worked serious overime

This job has allowed me to grow and take on a leadership position and push me out of my comfort zone. This job also makes it incredibly easy to go to school. I work 50 hours a week and I go to school full time and it's not overwhelming.

I don't think the pay is high enough for the work that is required. I also feel as if I am not being paid correctly. Pay stubs are always super fishy to me they never add up. I have had issues with not being paid for my hours worked in the past. I also feel as if management does not really believe or care about staff in certain positions. I think they take on clients that belong in a more restricted care center with more experienced staff members. This job has taken a huge mental toll on me in the last year. They also make it seem a lot better than it is. You don't get reimbursed for every activity you do and you only get up to $10. Millage is reimbursed and placed on your paycheck so you're getting taxed from it and I don't think that's okay.
