Good Place, Great Work, Great Colleague, Bad Business Decisions - Game Developer TLM Partners Employee Review

- Lay off without any reason. I've been one of their initial members, when the team was very small and during my employment they scaled to 150+. Worked tirelessly on multiple projects, but one day I was randomly laid-off in a 5 min meeting without any closure or anything. Even though my peer reviews and my team lead had very positive review of my work and growth. - Bad Business Decisions. Due to the company's bad business decisions, they had a couple of rounds of lay-offs. When the company is going good financially, there's hardly any benefit to the mid-level employees. But due to some business decisions they themselves made to let go of some contracts (due to personal bias and opinions), they had to let so many employees go, many of which worked tirelessly for them believe in their vision that they considered us family. - Stock Options totally useless. I was informed at the time of the termination of my contract that I cannot exercise my options, and there can be no arrangement made to facilitate that as well. Leading to further distrust and bad experience.
