Pros

Innovative work in autonomous vehicles with access to cutting-edge technology. Some very talented and passionate engineers who care about the mission. Flexible work hours and a decent work-life balance in some teams.

Cons

Upper management struggles with setting a clear and consistent vision, leading to frequent priority changes and confusion at the team level. Lack of transparency and poor communication between leadership and employees. A culture that discourages speaking up; constructive criticism is often ignored or dismissed. High turnover in certain departments creates instability and loss of institutional knowledge.

Pros

Working at Torc has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The technology we're building is genuinely world-changing — autonomous trucking has the potential to transform how goods move across the country, and being part of that mission makes the work feel meaningful every single day. The pace is fast, which keeps things engaging. There's always something new to tackle, and the environment pushes you to grow quickly. If you thrive on momentum and like seeing your contributions matter, you'll feel right at home here. One thing that stands out is the flexibility around work hours. It's clear that leadership trusts employees to get the job done without micromanaging when or how you do it. That kind of autonomy makes a real difference for work-life balance.

Cons

The fast pace isn't for everyone — be ready to hit the ground running
