Pros

Starting pay for auto insurance CSR's above average: $15/hr. Bonuses can be made, but it's hard--one bad customer feedback on the last day of the month will kill your bonus. OT is offered occasionally. $0.25/hr raise after 3 months, $0.50 raise after a year, but it takes payroll a couple months to make change, and forget getting the back pay retro to when raise given.

Cons

Have to work a full year before any PTO given and then it is next to impossible to get the time off you request. Seems like scheduling, which isn't even in USA, automatically rejects all requests and you can't repeat request for same days. Supervisor can override this, but depending on the supervisor, they may not do it for you. Screwy system of how they pay time and half for holidays--I'm still not sure I'm actually getting time and a half for those days. Open all major holidays, even Christmas. Company says they appreciate us in their communications system, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Worst morale of anywhere I've ever worked. Looking for new job now. DOES offer health insurance, but it's expensive.

Pros

For the most part, I have an open availability. I do however, like not having to work on Sundays. Some campains allow for a 1 hour lunch break. The hiring process was fairly easy. Your equipment is provided. There is opportunity for advancement. They are helpful when it comes to license renewal. Calls are back to back which for me seems to make time go faster. Flexibly as to when you want to take your lunch break. You have to opportunity to assist people without having to feel it was rushed. Off all major holidays.

Cons

Rushed training that may leave some questions unanswered. I feel like I had to figure things out on my own. Getting the assistance you need to help a client took longer than it should, especially when the client is on on hold, waiting for your response. At times some trainers seem to be unprepared for the roll they have taken. Calls are frequently monitored. Not much time between calls. It can take too long to transition from on campain to the next after the project has ended.
