Pros
Great starting point to multiple career paths, paid training. respectful trainers, and for some the opportunity to travel and/or transfer anywhere in the U.S.
Cons
Union involvement isn't that great for those who work hard. They removed performance bonuses and pay opting for an across the board pay raise annually. I went from receiving a 4% pay raise annually to a 1% pay raise annually. Since my departure, there has been a change in rate of pay starting in 2024, hopefully for the better.
