Pay is good, work life balance is not. - Dock Worker and Driver TST CF Express Employee Review

Pros

Pay - roughly $28.00 hourly dock and around 28.70 for city PND. These are top base rates after 4 years of service. $1 dollar per year raise for the first 4 years. Premiums are $1.50 for certain hours that you start, and .75 cents for lead hands Unionized. This always depends on what you're looking for. Junior employees have no work life balance, and there will be times you have little to no work. Google TST-CF express’ collective bargaining agreement with the teamsters for more info. Your co workers are mostly pretty good people just trying to work and go home.

Cons

Work life balance for those of you starting out is not going to be there. Please do not believe everything the recruiter tells you, they have been known to fluff things up just to get people in the door. Expectations can seem a bit overwhelming for some new people and quite a few have quit because of them. Don’t expect easy money basically.
