Overall this was a terrible place to work, with managers who thought of nothing but how next they were going to exert power and bully staff. It was the expectation of the Media Coordinator to: * Be able to read on average 800 emails a day, and action them. Should something not be actioned on a shift, you were called out on it rather publicly in the opened planned office in a “can I have a word” style * Swim to the top with no training. This was a role that required intense training to be across the different clients being managed, systems and how the systems were used for each client. I spent a week of really not knowing where to start and for any question asked was met with “I’m busy” or quite irritable reactions. Very off putting * The team was lead by a 2 “leads”. One who like to retain every piece of information, and in no way imparting any knowledge at all. He would quite often throw us under the bus on calls with clients, particularly when it was a “project” which he would grab from us but didn’t know the answer to their questions * Of the above lead, who would quite often humiliate the team in front of the office, when complained about to the person who managed the team, we were told he had a condition whereby they had to tread carefully on how they handled him. Basically, we had to just “understand and be patient” whilst constantly having our confidence diminished * The above manager clearly also had anger issues, as he would quite often insult and think it OK to make you feel like you contributed nothing - and whenever some of us wanted to make a change on how we managed our work, would make it more admin heavy and laborious.
