Pros

Really lovely colleagues, interesting clients and projects and decent benefits

Cons

Where to start... Tag used to be a place you'd like to work before its acquisition by Dentsu: colleagues that care about you, convivial culture and opportunities for professional advancement. These days it's very silo'ed with very little creative contact with clients. There's a large number of account directors that pretend to know what the client wants but seem more driven by their egos than actual consumer needs of the client. I've often seen account directors fail to communicate actual brief changes, especially within the larger business development unit at the top of the heap. I've really got to wonder how people who don't have creative credentials in that unit are allowed to function in creative roles. It's very top heavy with ever more work being dropped into the laps of the creatives that drive the actual outputs that Sourcing & Procurement need to fulfill their contractual obligations.

Pros

No pros to mention. Zero. Tag is even suffering financially.

Cons

You are cattle to Tag. You are a dollar sign until you’re too burned out - at which point you’re a liability and swiftly disposed of. Tag is somehow less human than any other agency I’ve worked at. We’re hemorrhaging employees as people flee to greener pastures (anywhere other than Tag) and bring their talents elsewhere. Tag has lost a tremendous amount of talented individuals during my time here whether working them to the bone or alienating them. Their HR department is a joke, run by people who take pleasure in stripping any dignity or rights from employees. We’re not even profitable. Your job will always be in question due to severe overselling while not being provided the resources to deliver. Do not work AT or WITH Tag if you care about your mental health. If the job market weren’t so bad, I would have been out of here a long time ago.
