Pros

Very intensive training, and inheriting the Japanese Shinkansen system, that is safety is the highest principle. Here you can learn the core technology of the Shinkansen core system with high efficiency (although it is 20 years old technology), and actually apply it to daily work.

Cons

Must work rotating shifts (early, mid, late), particularly in maintenance (trains, signals, facilities). Starting pay doesn't match the rare skills needed. Critical systems need 24/7 on-call for repairs. Potential for relocation to other high-speed rail stations in Taiwan.
