Pros

Ability to work from home one day a week pre-Covid Generous 21-day PTO allotment

Cons

It is unfortunate to see what was once allegedly a fun, fast-growing start-up company disintegrate due to poor management hires and constant hardware complications. Not only were broken promises and bullying from my direct boss the daily norm, but also subjection to emotional, wildly unprofessional outbursts and incommunicative, directionless leadership. Constant struggle to provide clients with honest information and deadlines due to hardware complications and shipping issues. This leads to the company constantly reimbursing accounts, trying to win back ground, and regain trust. Salary offered in offer letter was $17,000 less than what was posted online at time of application, interview, and receipt of offer letter. When I brought this up, I was told “that salary is for someone with experience. Good luck finding someone to pay you that much”. Why even offer someone a job if you’re just going to condescend their skillset? Manager expected team to remain "on call" (sometimes on weekends) to perform last minute field work during a large upgrade project despite having a team of people hired solely to perform field work. The company grew from approximately 25 people to 55 during my tenure. Tank has since downsized substantially laying off nearly half of the company due to lacking funds and frequent product-related issues. Be diligent before accepting a position.

Pros

Paid from when you walk out of your house until you walk back in and they pay mileage. Flexible Hours Holidays off weekends off customer support is decent

Cons

Gas prices have risen but the mileage amount has not. Would like to see a bump in that to help offset the costs. no paid holidays. Self employed with 1099...not really a con but still kinda hurts.

Pros

- There's a ton of opportunity to take ownership and own your projects in your discipline and job. Management trusts people to run with their roles. - It's a great group of talented and most importantly, nice people. No jerks here! - Vision and direction are clear and transparent. Management is very transparent about company strategy, goals and challenges and expect honest conversations across all teams. This means tackling problems and sharing successes as a team. - Good market opportunity in an industry that needs better technology and interested in what we're selling. - Flexible work from home policy and schedule. I coach in the Winter and I've had no problem adjusting my schedule to accommodate this. As long as you get your work done, your schedule is up to you. - Location is two blocks from Downtown Crossing. It's a quick commute on the Red Line.

Cons

- Fast paced work environment isn't for everyone. With a small team, you'll be working on a lot of projects and be asked to work quickly. This can be overwhelming at times but team will help when needed. - Start-up problems. Like any growing startup, there can be fires that need to be put out quickly and long nights at times. It's the nature of a growing business and is not a con as much as a tolerance someone needs to work at a start-up
