Pros

The individual contributors that work here are amazing people and deserve the world for everything they put up with.

Cons

The leadership here is horrible. They are replying to people saying they are working on things and that is not true. It has continued to get worse rather than better. The main three people in charge would rather push blame onto previous employees or current employees than take accountability for their actions. They let people go for no reason and randomly. They have no respect for people that contribute to the company and see the employees as only numbers to be removed for cheaper staff. You could have added value for years and they would sooner see you gone than reward you for anything you did. The main operations manager "delegates" all of his work and refuses to advocate for his staff as he doesnt want to say no to the owner. He also blames everyone else before taking accountability for himself. Leadership does not communicate at all. They have destroyed the previous communication paths we set up along with most of the processes that were built out. They pretend we have no training even though the entire training has been built out for years and worked extremely well for all previous employees. Morale is at an all time low and the leadership either refuses to see it or doesnt understand how to. I would not recommend working here to anyone. The issues were not the change, or the previous management. The issues are with current leadership and the owner. If those are not fixed, this company does not get better for the employees.

Nothing tells you more about a workplace than the people doing the work right now — we'd encourage any candidate to find current Austin or Barcelona team members on LinkedIn and ask them candidly about training, culture, and growth. An honest conversation with someone doing the job today will tell you more than any single review can.

Pros

Coworkers are awesome, it's not unusual for us to hangout outside of work. It's fun to work in the beer/alcohol industry.

Cons

- Head of the company fails to listen to employee needs, and says very off-putting things. - The micromanaging kept getting worse and worse and made employees feel like they can't be trusted, even after years of working there. Owner is convinced employees don't do their jobs are tries to find reasons to affirm his beliefs. - Job security is not guaranteed, especially to long-time workers. Owner will cut your position to save money and rehire right out of college. Also, if you said or did something to upset him, you're out without a moments notice. - Salary is okay for Seattle but not enough to live comfortably. - Company culture kept disintegrating as owner kept taking away freedoms as he saw fit.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. The transition from Seattle to Austin was a hard one, and we know it was harder still for team members who chose not to relocate. The company you describe is one we have worked deliberately to leave behind. We learned that running a company largely on remote work, with management disconnected from the day-to-day, did not serve our people or our customers well. In Austin and Barcelona we are building something different: an in-person, design-forward company where the work is visible, the expectations are clear, and good performance is recognized and rewarded. We are grateful for the strong friendships that came out of those years — many of them have lasted — and we wish every former teammate well.
