Pros

Decent Shift length. One house is staffed with 2 people for Daytime and 1 person awake overnight.

Cons

Management disregards staff concerns. Too much emphasis on Zero Regulations. No Structure for disciplinary actions from Clients. Very little redirection. No concern for Doctors orders. Quick to discipline staff rather than listening and assisting the client with areas of concern as far as Right and wrong.

Pros

- Deep rooted belief in relationship and healthy workplace, which leads to improved quality of service for everyone they support. - Incredible flexibility around family and personal needs - Ongoing work being done to ensure direct supervisors of front line staff are trauma-informed and relate this to how they work with and support their staff, not just the supported individuals. - Pay is great - higher than the average. Though it is highly dependent on government contracts they do their best to ensure the benefits are good for their staff in the areas they have more control over. - Space for everyone to be heard - they just need to speak up. Emphasis on creating safe spaces for everyone to feel safe to speak up and ask questions. - Invest in meaningful training for all levels of the organization - Really great vision moving forward - Hear the input from staff and make the changes needed to make the work easier where they can.

Cons

- Heavily reliant on government funding for staff wages - this can't be helped in this field, it's just a con that all social service agencies face. Taproot does a great job of doing what they can to increase benefits and perks in other areas.
