Pros
A long history of strong ethical and social values make this a company a person feels good about joining. For the most part you can follow your personal values without pressure from the company.
Cons
The long Indian roots makes the company leadership do some irrational things. Some areas expect rigid hierarchy where employees are not allowed to disagree with bosses. It is very possible to be stymied and punished if you don't toe the caste-based line. Difficult for foreigners to be seen as credible senior leaders.
