Pros
- given it's a start up, you will learn A LOT and excel much quicker in your skills in this gritty environment - the people! some of the best people i've worked with to date. incredibly smart and supportive - the CEO is approachable. she encourages feedback and it's very cool to work for a company where you can casually brush elbows with the founder - unlimited PTO was awesome. they encouraged travel + time off
Cons
- they have ambitious goals for a small company. so much so that sometimes it may seem like you have to bend over backwards to make the impossible possible - direct management could use some work. direction isn't always clear which leads to confusion and feeling a lack of support - sometimes you'll feel like your arm is being twisted to do a task/job 1 way that is favored by the CEO/those she regards highly - volatility. they let people go without notice for no particular reason and coworkers come and go. if long-term stability is important to you, i'd think twice - your job duties will likely change and expand but the pay will not - diversity is preached but not really practiced. There's a lack of both racial and cognitive diversity at Tea
