Pros

This company was my first job in the UK while I was studying for my undergraduate degree. Everything was challenging for me because I had never worked as a bubble tea barista before. Additionally, this shop is small, so everyone is trained to do everything. As a result, I gained experience in various tasks, which helped me develop skills applicable to future jobs, such as customer service, operating the till, and team management. Furthermore, my colleagues were very supportive and friendly. The company itself is diverse, with colleagues from various nationalities. Additionally, I enjoyed the perk of a free drink during my shift.

Cons

Working long hours in a small shop requires handling a variety of tasks. These include making drinks, tidying up with bleach before closing, taking customer orders, and unpacking deliveries. Additionally, I rarely see the manager; based on my experience, I see him only two or three times a week usually for only 2-3 hours or just before closing. While most of my colleagues are good, the one with whom I work most frequently lacks emotional control and is not very pleasant to work with.

Pros

The job was fun, customers and team were nice to work with, the quality of all the products is very high.

Cons

The management (owners) tend to micro-manage everyone, and despite you being the store manager they will regularly come to the store, blame you for things they shouldn't blame you for in front of customers and your team, which can be quite demeaning. They are quite fake as they'll be nice in front of you but rip you apart in your back, and if you have one demand they will automatically say no without any reason. They made my life hell from the moment I gave my notice, and for the time of said notice my working days become a nightmare, they did everything they could to make me leave before the end of notice so they wouldn't pay me my last wages. They will only hire asian people (I wasn't) to "be on brand", which is very questionable, will fire your staff without consulting you before, and fire them for any reason really.
