Pros

Positive group of BDR associates Usually Short work hours Little to no micro managing Full Remote Stepping stone for SaaS for a company that actually pays

Cons

Inexperienced management Unlivable wages from an AE level down. Initial forced talk track to get promoted is terrible. Once promoted your days are numbered Due to unreachable consistent PiPs you get out on. Absolutely terrible lead generation= repeatedly recycle dead leads through cadences Zero transparency on the amount of prequalified leads handed out into cadences by management to a specific few. Growing expectations on the amount of opps to set as monthly churn explodes with small businesses cutting their budgets on expenditures for hiring. Ever growing KPIs with zero pay increases Certain AEs will guard their close rates—- Will pick and choose wether your opportunity lands after demo attends—- yet they get free reign to set their own and push them through for themselves

Pros

Team Engine has been one of the best career moves I’ve made. The culture is incredible—everyone is kind, collaborative, and genuinely wants to see you succeed. It’s a smaller company, which actually works to your advantage: you have the freedom to own your process, and you’re empowered with everything you need to do your job well. The CEO and leadership team are highly accessible and supportive. You can reach out to anyone—from your manager to the execs—and be heard. Ideas are welcomed and often implemented quickly, which is refreshing and motivating. The pay is very generous and highly competitive, especially for the size and stage of the company. The benefits are solid too.

Cons

Like any sales role, the leads can be tough at times—you do have to work to earn a demo. That said, I’ve never had a sales job where every prospect was eager and ready to buy, so let’s be real. Team Engine gives you a list, tools, and strategy—you just have to execute. Some of the older reviews mention issues around leads and pay, but it’s clear the company restructured a lot post-COVID, and things have significantly improved.
