Little to no opportunity for growth. Pay raise is minimal, if any. Lowest starting rate for lifeguards that I know of. Terrible management on every level. BAC is a community facility based out of Burlingame High School, meaning the majority of employees are high school students. Because of this, management tends to try and manipulate workers and bend the rules when it works in their favor. Often employees work overtime and are not fairly compensated. Management will go in and alter hours in the system. They will also try and pay you as little as they can, often changing the rules of what constitutes a pay raise. From what I have witnessed, customer service is also lacking. Employees are not given adequate information to provide to customers, leading to widespread confusion. New hires receive little to know training, creating minimal uniformity that has jeopardized the quality of swim lessons and other programs. Profanity is routinely used around the front desk area when children are around. management does not care that they are fostering an unprofessional environment and not compensating workers fairly.
