Pros
I was nervous to go on my first project, but, my manager was really helpful in telling me what to expect. I haven’t done consulting before, but my project prep was pretty thorough. Nothing can really simulate project life until you actually do it, but at least I knew what to say in front of a client and how to act to perform my best. Never a lack of support from tech staff or managers.
Cons
Sometimes I feel like I’m alone out in the abyss when I’m on project since I’m the only one from my company. I really like that TechField has started sending managers on "tours" to visit us on-site. My manager also allowed me a chance to submit personal details about my project for a corporate presentation.
