Pros

The technical team is fantastic. They have the highest skill set that I have seen and are amazingly friendly. They work together and make sure that a job is done well.

Cons

The CEO, Simon, seems to have some form of god complex. He runs the company through fear. People watch the CCTV to see when he is coming into the building, warning everyone when he does. Everyone puts on a fake face and is incredibly nice to him in fear of losing their job. Which brings me to the point of job security; everyone at technical drive is constantly scared about losing their job. I've seen people break down over small mistakes because they think they're going to lose their job. During my time there, I was more stressed than I have ever been. And you cannot complain the the HR department because it doesn't exist. On top of all this, the IT company is run by sales people who have no clue about IT. The know how to make money but are constantly messing things up due to lack of knowledge or confusion and then put the blame on the IT team. They have no clue what they're doing. And when they do, they only do things that are "profitable" for them, trying to get the highest commission bonus possible. Overall technical drive needs to be run differently. It is an IT company run by sales people who have no clue and the CEO is a sociopath with a god complex

This is totally untrue. No-one is scared of me in Technical Drive as demonstrated through the amazing technical team that you have described. I am not sure that a team run through fear comes across as frinedly, helpful and together. The CCTV story is completely untrue and total fantasy. We are also a quality ISO 9001 accreditied organisation which provides for peole to have any grievances heard . With regard to the sales team, they are told specifically not to sell anything they would not do them selves and by this I mean to only sell what works NOT the solution that makes the most money. I am concerned that this wasn't communicated to this particular person as it is clear they have the wrong end of the stick as this is not we do. It is a pity that this person left this review anonymously as I would have loved the opportuntiy to have addressed their concerns directly. I have no understanding what a 'god complex' is, but I imagine it means I can do what I want, wehn I want. As a boss, this is defintely not the case and looking afteremployees and being responsible for them is a responsibility I take very seriously.

Pros

There are none. This is a terrible, oppressive place to work. You are sold gold covered falsehood and start there thinking it's great. And to start with that's true. But it doesn't take long for your confidence and self belief to start being eroded. To hear weird exist, racist, homophobic "jokes" from the MD who then pauses expecting laughter like an overgrown toddler. Great place to work if you love an abusive, controlling environment.

Cons

As above. Truly terrible place to work.

Pros

I’ve been with the organisation for just over a year and have enjoyed the experience. It’s a hands-on managerial role that provides the freedom to experiment with modern tools and strategies alongside a great team. The office environment is good and the team is friendly, supportive, and collaborative. Socials like quiz nights, charity events, and playing padel have been a brilliant way to build real relationships outside of work. There is a genuine focus on doing right for our clients. A commitment to excellence and high-quality delivery runs through the entire company. It’s also impressive to see lots of long-serving team members who have successfully progressed into senior positions.

Cons

None so far that I have seen
