After multiple emails to Arun Jose Dasan, who recruited me and was my only point of contact, I have still not received payment for the approximately 8000-word document I edited. Right after getting hired, I mailed him to enquire when I would receive a task. He reverted days later. Then I received a job, the main guidelines for which were not shared. I mailed him regarding that as well and received a mail two days later, after the deadline had already passed. I enquired what the next deadline would be. He gave me a date. I submitted the work within that date. Then he just vanished. No mailing me back regarding the payment or anything. He then dropped a mail asking me about my bank details and the after multiple emails, I have still not received my payment. And it's been two months now. What an absolutely demotivating experience.
