Pros

You're sitting and inactive all day. The hours are really flexible (9am-3pm, 3pm-9pm, 12pm-6pm). The brown-line train and the Chicago avenue bus will drop you off only feets away. The job is extremely easy. They hire anybody. The job is easy to get. If you're desperate and need to make ends meet it's okay for that. There's no such thing as advancement with Telesight. This cannot and will not be a career even in a management position.

Cons

The supervisors will befriend you at first and then reprimand you for the smallest thing which causes confusion. The pay is $8.25/hour and get this--the supervisors make only pennies more than you but they are really strict and act as if they own the company. You're calling random people ALL day to get them to complete a survey (for G.E, Chase, Home Depot, Neiman Marcus, etc.). Occasionally you WILL call a deceased person. You will definitely be yelled at and even cursed at from time to time. Your lunch break is only 20 minutes. You get 10 minutes 'away time' (for bathroom break, water break, quick snack, phone call, etc.) which you can use consecutively or broken up. You NEED a crossword puzzle book to do in between calls. Otherwise you just sit there, staring at the screen, waiting on the next call. You're not supposed to talk to or interact with your neighbor. The supervisors will not give you puzzles unless you're above the 'target rate' (the surveys are tested to see on average how many ppl will complete it-you have to be above that number). Even though they're telephone surveys you will still be judged for productivity. You have to get so many surveys complete. They're strict about dress code. Telephone surveys ARE obsolete when they can be completed online or through mail. Permanent part-time position. No overtime.
