- For a game development studio they pay decently well (still much lower than you would make in tech).
- The Bazaar is actually a fun game.
- Team is very passionate about game development and art.
- Remote only studio (expect to be pinged at weird hours).
Cons
- Several iterations have left the game in a spaghetti nightmare causing features to take way longer than needed. This often causes the higher ups to question why things take so long.
- Pretty bad work life balance. Expect every PTO request to be heavily scrutinized.
- CEO seems a bit distant and not as hands on. Feels like they are probably burnt out of the game taking a long time.
- Design iterations are constant even when deadlines are looming.
- Churn rate is quite high. Don't expect to stay longer than 6 to 12 months unless you're a "rockstar".
