Pros
From my experience, I've always gotten back what I put in. I've never felt like I've been unappreciated or taken for granted and I've always felt that the leadership team have been approachable, fair and competent.
I've been fortunate enough to find myself on projects that have really accelerated my career. With four years total experience in software testing at the time of writing, I've personally seen the largest increases to my salary, responsibilities and overall job satisfaction in the past year.
Working with Ten10 also comes with several perks, including a micro bonus system through the use of the 'Bonusly' system. Essentially a thank you system that sees you recognised in a dedicated Slack channel and on a large TV in our office foyer. These bonuses carry real word value and can be exchanged for things like Amazon or iTunes store credit. Each employee is given the equivalent of £10 a month to distribute in bonuses to those who go the extra mile.
More recently, we've experienced changes that have resulted in more professional service lines, with a clearer emphasis on personal accountability. In some places, the 'old' culture would be to approach a problem with a potentially overly complex, bespoke solution, simply because we could, rather than a solution that considers things like ease of handover to other parties, code legibility and industry best practices.
Cons
As Ten10 grows, so does the corporate culture. What began as a tight-knit startup has transitioned to a medium-sized company with ambitions to continue to grow. This culture shift has resulted in some attrition within the company, including some highly talented individuals who have left to seek new opportunities elsewhere in the industry.
