Pros

I am lucky to have my job. It allows me to spend time with my kids in the afternoons and nights so I can go to their extra curricular activities. It has it's ups and downs with stress like all jobs but I do my job and go home

Cons

I've been given a dime raise in 8 years. You work every day regardless of weather conditions.I only can have 36 hours a week. Wants you to do everyone else's job (for months) and your own with no extra money.

Pros

Super laid back atmosphere, good people to work with for the most part, guaranteed FT hours, 2 weeks paid vacation, 2 paid personal days, 5 paid sick leave days

Cons

Starting pay is very low when compared to what other printing companies pay their press operators, absolutely no advancement within the company, the newspaper industry as a whole has taken a nosedive with the rise of online news content, the people that make the business decisions and decide on the company's direction seem to think that an outdated and obsolete business plan that may have worked for the newspaper industry decades ago will continue to bring in positive revenue if they make cuts in their expenses (mainly labor and wages). Although, the pay is mediocre, I love my job, but if the decision makers don't make changes and pivot far away from their current business model, this business will not be here by the end of the decade. Period.
