Pros
Core database technology is rock-solid. Big name loyal customers. Decent benefits and good work-life balance. Good learning opportunities, global company. Some very smart people used to work there.
Cons
Limited growth opportunities. Constant rounds of layoffs over the past 4 years. New management is often clueless. Teradata is still a hardware sales oriented company perceived as legacy by many. They are trying to change it with cloud and analytics offerings but there is a lot of pressure from the competition and they are late in the game. Antique internal systems. Bad acquisitions in the past.
