Pros
- Best colleagues I ever had. Pretty much everyone I worked with was not only capable and motivated, but also friendly and supportive. - Products have commercial potential - (less and less the case) honest, direct, human company culture - lots of autonomy - colleagues and manager were supportive and understanding when my family went through a rough pass
Cons
- very unstable organisation: in about 2 years I went through 3 complete re-organization of the whole engineering team - changes in senior management with new members coming from outside of the industry we are operating in lead to decline in company culture and strategic clarity. Senior management seems more preoccupied to launch the company on a unicorn path and focus on the "tech" aspect of then company than to understand and serve the industry most our customers are in (transportation) - Capacity to communicate degraded very fast in the last months. I moved from feeling like part of a good, united sports team to a company where meetings mysteriously disappear from my calendar 5 minutes before starting time and where I need to connect to the HR software to know who my new manager is, because no human (former and new manager included) seems to be informed. - senior management used to be open about the financial situation of the company. Now problems are hidden from employees and just get communicated when there is no other option.
