Pros
TerpSys is a Washington, DC-based technology services company that specializes in providing great customer service ('Delighting Our Customers"). The staff is high caliber and the work is challenging. Customers include a variety of federal, non-profit and commercial work. TerpSys is consistently rated as a 'Great Place to Work' in regional publications - where staff surveys are the most important criteria - so TerpSys is doing something right. Company offers a wide variety of activities from company parties, social activities, 'intramural' sports, brown bag lunches and pizza nights. Overall, I would say TerpSys is a fun and fast paced place to work. Community Service is one area the company is really different than my past employers. TerpSys offers unlimited community service hours - a big plus for those who are so motivated! Lots of 'team' based challenges and free soda, too!
Cons
TerpSys is successful and many of the original team are still active in the company. That means that culture is well defined and can take a while for newcomers to understand and assimilate. On the whole, staff is rather young. That is a good thing if you are in your first 10 years out of college - but I've been working for more than 15 years. I don't have as many experienced collegues as I had in my previous company.
