Bosses Don't Care - Overworked Employees - Busboy Testo's Italian Restaurant Employee Review

Pros

Pays more than any minimum wage job as it includes tip, which also allows workers to earn more if they are attentive and present enough. The manager (not the bosses' wife who is the manager in name, but rather the employee who acts as the manager) is great, extremely helpful, understanding and attentive - it is because of him that the restaurant remains a powerhouse in the community.

Cons

Bosses (a married couple) are absolutely horrible - the second the kitchen door closes they start yelling throwing blame around at everyone. The husband is okay (at best) when he gets to know and trusts you, otherwise he will blame all problems on whoever he doesn't like and berate them in front of everyone, but at least he contributes by cooking, cleaning or whatever else needs to be done. The wife is infinitely worse as she has never worked a day in her life (I've never seen her do so much as cut a fruit or set a table) yet she spends the entire day, every single day, in the restaurant yelling and criticizing EVERYONE. The atmosphere is absolutely toxic as even the oldest, most well liked workers threaten to quit on a weekly basis. New workers can expect to not have a free Friday or Saturday night until 2 AM for the first 3 months until they get enough seniority to add another day to their schedule (this is more a restaurant problem than Testos' specifically).
