Depending on the directorate, you can get some really good mentorship and leadership.
Compressed work schedule is great. 3 day weekends everyweek (except drill weekends) are nice to be able to make plans with the family.
Cons
This isn't a military organization. That is a guise. This is a government organization that over works it's people. I've seen too many toxic leaders brow beat their people in order to make themselves look or feel good.
Career advancement opportunities are lacking.
