Pros

Great part time job from when I was a college student, decent pay at $15 an hour, with ~30 minute breaks between groups. Worked at the Fort Worth location for three years, about a year of that I was the only one working on site. There's a big learning curve at the beginning, as you have to take care of the whole place and manage the teams all by yourself. Many decisions fall solely on you, and personally I thrive in that sort of environment. If you're at a bigger location, you'll have co-workers, so your experience may differ from mine.

Cons

FWPR business was slow for a long time, enough to where they could only employ me. As a result, the place was all but ignored by corporate, and I was not told I would be terminated until 2 days before. If you're in a place with more business, like Austin or San Antonio, you may feel more cared for and have more consistent work.

Pros

Working with customers is natural, you are able to have normal conversations with them as well as explain the rules of the game and how to play. The other employees are very nice and there is definitely a sense of community between Austin Panic Room coworkers. When referring to my coworkers, I usually use the word "friend" instead of "coworker" because of the community we've created. Overall it is a fairly easy job as long as you are competent in customer service, as this is a HIGHLY customer-service based job.

Cons

Working here can sometimes be a challenge. There are many times when you are the only employee in the building and it can get overwhelming. There is also a very sketchy booking system, and sometimes people higher than managers will make bookings for a room the day of without telling anyone which is very frustrating. As long as you are on top of your schedule and you know the rooms by heart, it isn't too bad.
