Pros

Great students and somewhat fair work/life balance, although it depends on your manager

Cons

First of all, HR is disorganized and incompetent. They took a long to time to review my benefits and get my paperwork started. And they would report any little item to my manager whenever I'd visit the department for questions. What kind of HR department does that? Not a very professional one. Also, there's never anyone there when you call them. Second, management at TSU is pretty sub-par. It seems many managers stopped striving to excel. They're just looking out of themselves and waiting for their next paychecks and to leave early on Fridays. Third, there's no professional advancement opportunities and coaching for employees. I regret passing up great opportunities to work there. It was a waste of my career.

No one actually works hard or has much diligence. It's much less of a university and more like a social club. The system is broken and it damages the reputation of the institution because students who are underserved and don't have much guidance come there looking for an opportunity to gain credentials but the university produces poor outcomes as result of high turnover in administration and
