Pros

State insurance and benefits, sick leave and vacation.

Cons

Administrators and faculty don’t communicate effectively. In some instances, it’s pass the buck University because administrators and faculty would rather pass the workload to the staff instead of doing it themselves. Politics is a common scheme. The hard workers are overlooked and friends are promoted. Even with new leadership, things are no better. There is no room for upward mobility and career advancement here unless you are buddies with someone in power. It’s unfortunate because the university offers great educational opportunities.
