I worked for about a year as a waitress at the Connolly Hotel, until I was transferred, without my consent, to the housekeeping team, which also happened to three other colleagues on the team. From the beginning, management was disrespectful and unwelcoming. During my time there, I felt constantly overwhelmed. The team was too small for the demand, and when we couldn't handle everything, instead of support or reinforcement, we only received criticism. The environment was extremely stressful. The situation worsened after I moved to the housekeeping team. In less than a week, I realised that I couldn't continue because my body couldn't take it, both physically and mentally. The leaders were rude and created an unbearable atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst professional experiences I've ever had.
