Pros

Flexible Schedule, Work from Home

Cons

First of all, senior management runs the company like a cult around the founder, Mia. She puts herself and her company on a pedestal so high she cannot see the ground that The Admin Center will inevitably come crashing down to. The business structure is convoluted and inefficient, with leads and managers taking positions they are unqualified for. As a virtual company, one would think the software choices used would be fast and efficient, but unfortunately they are not. For instance, the company uses TalkDesk to make and receive calls for all clients. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the company has issues with this system on a daily basis - no, that is not an exaggeration. I personally had a couple issues with the system the week I began and at this time every single service level drop for the day is blamed on me because I'm "the odd duck out." They stay in their cliques and when new people come in that ask genuine questions of concern for the company they write you off as a troublemaker. I compared the company to a group of High-Schoolers in my title of this review, but in reality they are much more self-righteous. Probably due to the number of fundamentalist Christians and Mormons that work here. The Admin Center leadership also does not keep their word: upon being hired I was told I would train for a specific role - and was indeed trained for it - yet they hired someone else and gave the position to them. Putting in holiday time is also a major chore. The team lead I have took a full month to look at my time request (one of the first submitted) for the Christmas season and due to her "inability to put together the Christmas Week's schedule until everyone has their times in" I am now spending an extra 10 hours in travel time in a cramped car due to outrageous airline prices. This happened with Thanksgiving as well. The Admin Center uses the interoffice messaging system, Slack, to communicate and they expect you to download it on your phone and be available 24/7. Break, lunch, the weekend, family emergency, or vacation - it doesn't matter - they will contact you and expect you to "hop on for a few moments." The $11/hr I am currently paid (I took a $6 pay cut for this position) is NOT worth the drama and headache within this company. The woman I replaced was railroaded out due to concerns she brought up to leadership. It seems like a great deal and everyone is nice/kind/sweet... until you get to know them. The culture is toxic and sickly sweet, like the taste of burnt almonds used to hide the taste of cyanide. This is an absolutely draining company to work for, with absolutely fake people, and an absolutely cultish following of the founder. Oh, the majority of the employees (leadership included) are homophobic as well... everything considered though, that's the smallest of everything wrong with this company.

Pros

- all work is virtual, you can live anywhere in the United States - equipment can be provided depending on your location - flexible schedule - training provided - rarely work weekends if not at all

Cons

- most employees begin working as a Virtual Assistant on phones before moving on to another department - company is highly focused on developing the Marketing department and other departments can feel neglected - many employees who are hired are acquaintances or friends first of an existing employee - many employees who work in the same department and perform tasks differ in wages - internet costs are the employee's responsibility - high turn over rate
