Pros

Working with active duty members and their families

Cons

The new contract effective 1 August 2018 decreased our base pay, decreased PTO and forced us to put our health and wellness stipend into a 401K. This company does not contribute at all to the 401K. If you need the health care it is $588 per month and that is for just the employee. The coverage is minimal. Dental and Vision are extra. Our take home pay decreased by a little over $12,000 a year. The pay is below average for this area at this time. If a day is declared a federal holiday and the facility is closed, you are forced to take PTO or leave without pay. You will only earn a little over 6 hours per month of PTO. Which is below average. Poor communication from the program manager. Communication between the COR and the program manager is even less. I have been with this company almost two years and I have never met the program manager. Zero promotion potential. There are no performance reviews or bonus. You will only get paid as a nurse with one year of experience despite your years of experience, educations, certifications, or time with the company because that is how the contract is written. Your health and well-being is not important to this company whatsoever. They are only looking for a body to fill a seat so the contract terms are fulfilled and the company gets paid.

The Arora Group Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and for being an important part of the mission of delivering excellent care to our nation's men and women in uniform at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. We pride ourselves on taking care of our team members who provide care onsite at medical treatment facilities, and we appreciate the feedback that your manager has been in close communication and helped you solve any problems that have resolved. We also appreciate that, in the Navy’s follow-on contract for your services, the Government chose to restructure the compensation and/or benefits from the previous iteration of the contract. With assumption of administrative and contracting authority by the Defense Health Agency, that has been a common theme throughout the industry. Nevertheless, Arora’s compensation package at your location continues to include 10 paid federal holidays, at least 17 days of leave, and over $8,500 of the company’s payment toward your fringe benefits. In any event, thank you for being a part of this important mission.
