The Behavior Doc Response
2y
Although it is discouraging to read such reviews, any business is aware that open forums enable false information to permeate. To date The Behavior Doc LLC has had one individual requiring maternity leave benefits. Prior to her sharing with the agency that she was expecting, our small firm did not offer these benefits. However, we quickly added the policy upon hearing she was expecting, and we were so pleased to see that she returned and continues to be working for our agency going on three years. Our benefits package does offer PTO to full-time salaried staff, but does not offer a payout at this time if PTO is not used prior to providing a 30-day notice to abandon clients. Please understand that this policy is to prevent client abandonment during a transitionary period.

Pros

The Behavior Doc is by far the most ethically driven and supportive ABA agency I have ever had the pleasure of working for. Leadership operates on an open door policy and are quick to respond to requests for help and support. As an analyst working with clients in the home setting, it's often difficult to feel like you are a part of a working community of professionals - this is not the case at The Behavior Doc. Our team is always willing to collaborate and share ideas, create materials, and ultimately show up for one another in times of need.

Cons

None, The Behavior Doc is truly a great working environment.

Pros

This company provides clear communication and expectations. Dr. D values our time as people and as employees, we never have meaningless meetings that could be emails and we are not expected to be on call when we are off. TBD instills professionalism for all levels of employee. TBD is the first company I have worked with that places such a high value in their providers, all provider concerns are taken seriously. Dr. D is a hands on executive director, she is readily available to provide support, come up with ideas or trouble shoot large and/or small problems. TBD offers flexibility and self-management, I create a schedule that works for my clients and my own life. Generous stipends are provided regularly so that I can buy stimuli for my clients or materials for myself. TBD requires caregivers to be present and active in session, I no longer feel like a glorified babysitter, I am making real change with families.

Cons

In this field, hours can vary due to child illness/cancellations etc. Although hours can vary at times, TBD provides plenty of accommodations and is usually very quick in replacing clients should a case be lacking in hours.
