Pros
I know I’m only seasonal but I really do enjoy working at this firm. They really do care about their employees and go above and beyond to do things to make the people that work there happy. This is the first time ever working anywhere that brings a massage thearpist onsite. I understand they may be doing extra stuff for there employees since I am only working during tax busy season but I already know during summer months they allow there employees to go home early on Fridays. So they are doing way more than office parties/lunches even though I am enjoying those a lot and they probably do less any other time of the year but the point is that they do them. The work can be boring since it is an accounting firm but they still manage to make the office fun and the permanent employees really seem to enjoy working here. I give them serious credit for pushing health and wellbeing on there employees it is very easy to get unhealthy sitting at an office job all day for years. I like that the office is very modern too was not expecting the stand up desks.
Cons
Some of the downsides of working here is it is pretty far away from I guess where most people live. Most people who work in the Dallas office don’t live near the office and have to commute very far everyday. I can see how that might get challenging to deal with mentally and physically if you plan on working here permanently. I heard a lot of complaints from the administrative employees sharing how the firm is not really flexible when it comes to having to work remote for emergency situations like if you get sick or if there is extreme weather. If working remotely is not approved they will use your PTO instead.
