Pros
I was fortunate enough to be promoted while with the company, which I’m grateful for, and I learned a lot in my time there. Unlimited PTO was a plus.
Cons
I loved working for The Channel Company when I first started. The culture was great, I felt valued, and the business was thriving. After a change in leadership and some acquisitions, things changed. Multiple rounds of layoffs came, which isn’t out of the ordinary after acquisitions, but there was also a shift in culture. People were expected to pick up the workload of those who had been let go when they already had a full plate of their own. Recommendations made by those not in a director-level position seemed to be ignored. People who made mistakes repeatedly or were constantly unavailable did not face any consequence. Benefits were not that great compared to what I’ve seen at other companies.
